As promised, storms got a late start today and as expected, flooding is becoming a big concern. An Urban & Small Stream Flood Advisory has been issued for Southeast Pima, Northern Santa Cruz & Western Cochise Counties until 8:45 pm. This includes Green Valley, Sahuarita, Benson, Sonoita, Elgin & Amado.

5:50 PM – Tracking a few lines of mainly garden-variety thunderstorms…one over Central Pima County and another east of Vail, Patagonia & Nogales. Hey, haven’t we seen this set-up before? Starting to see some clearing skies across Pima & Santa Cruz Counties. Because of this, I think this will be the favorable area for scattered storms to develop today. Clouds over Cochise County this morning will hinder storm development.
