A Chilly Thursday Update

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

A cloudy, cool night across Southern Arizona, as a cold core low pushes through the Great Basin. Radar as of 6:15 pm shows mainly dry conditions over us, but off to the west is another round of rain & mountain snow heading in our direction.
My thinking is we’ll see this next batch of precip into [...]

Wednesday Evening Update

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Closing in on 8 PM in Tucson, and we’re still seeing a cold rain falling across the metro. Light to moderate rain is basically spread out over Eastern Pima County, ahead of a cold front that is now into Tucson’s west side. All activity continues a north-northeast trajectory and should clear Tucson & Southeast Pinal County by [...]

Wednesday Afternoon Update

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

All activity is pushing north-northeast around 30 mph, with the heaviest falling along Oracle Rd. in Oro Valley. I’ve also gotten reports of small hail around Oracle (thanks Mike!), which can’t be ruled out with any storm that forms.
The likelyhood [...]

Damage from this quake was reported in California’s Imperial Valley and near Guadelupe Victoria, Baja California. Power outages reached all the way out to Yuma [...]
