Oh, the agony & ecstasy felt across the Grand Canyon State Saturday! ASWho’s Kyle Williams was about to join John Jefferson-type lore with the 2009 version of “The Catch”…until he muffed a Keenyn Crier punt. That set-up the image above…another Zendajas (freshman Alex) shoving the harpoon deep into the hearts of all Sun Devil sympathizers [...]

Good evening all…radar at 8 pm shows a band of showers mainly in Southwestern Graham County. There may be a few rumbles of thunder associated with this band as it lifts northeast. If this lasts long, it will change over to snow around 6-7,000 feet in Northern Graham & Northern Greenlee Counties.

It’s going to feel & look a lot like Christmas in the next few days! A Winter Storm Watch is in effect above 5,000 feet for the counties shaded in blue above. This advisory will start Sunday evening and last through Monday morning. For this reason, I’ve upped the snow totals to the 5-10″ range [...]

So here we are, a good 5.8″ below average for rainfall in Tucson & we have relief on the way. The well-advertised weekend storm system is now sitting in Northern California & is rapidly dropping towards Los Angeles. Not a whole lot of cloud cover in Arizona now, but I expect the clouds to increase [...]

I’m tracking a developing storm (circled on the satellite image above) that looks to bring a drastic change to our weather this weekend. This storm looks to dive towards Southern Arizona, bringing cooler temperatures and a chance of valley rain & mountain snow.
The time frame for this appears to be late Saturday & lingering into [...]

For those planning to get outta dodge on the busiest travel day of the year, here’s a peek at what you can expect coast-to-coast throughout the day tomorrow. This forecast pretty much stayed in line with what I said on Sunday night, hence my use of the Weather Channel maps.
Overall, airport delays Wednesday shouldn’t [...]

I hope you and yours had a great weekend! We had some fabulous weather over the weekend & it looks like that trend will linger into the holiday. These daytime highs & overnight lows are about 2-5 degrees above average…you can thank high pressure over the West Coast for that. I don’t anticipate any travel [...]

Good Saturday evening all…I wanted to post Sunday’s daytime highs I’m forecasting across Southern Arizona. Very little wind and abundant sunshine can be expected tomorrow, as these daytime highs are running 3-5 degrees above average.
It is going to be a quiet week for weather…great timing for the Thanksgiving holiday. I’ll talk about it tonight on [...]
